Andrea Giacomini is an award-winning filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. His short film, ”More than Words” (writer/director, producer, editor), a creative hybrid of art and film, was a winner of the AFI & Levi’s competition. In 2014 received the “FutureCity Yokohama Award” for Best Short Film at the Short Shorts Film Festival in Tokyo.

He has created commercials and brand content for companies with global recognition, including: Levi’s, Honda, Yamaha, Lincoln, Nissan, Fiat/Chrysler, Converse, Doritos, etc.. He also creates music videos for various indie and mainstream pop artists: Eric Benet, Fatboy Slim, Gnarls Barkley, Rx Bandits, Waxploitation’s Teargas & Plateglass, Socadia. These videos have been showcased at SXSW, AFI Fest, Cannes Shorts Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Originally hailing from Ascoli Piceno, Italy, Andrea moved to the United States to pursue a career in music. Shortly after becoming the drummer of the band Socadia, Andrea tried his hand at filming and producing a video for the band. This music video, “Sleeping While You Drive,” quickly garnered places in the International Film Festival circuit and went on to win the MVWire Music Video Contest.
